Com.art Festival - June review

The June festival was a very successful event in many ways.

With nine full days of community arts practice, performance and discussion, the co-ordinating team were very happy with the week. A full report will be written after the December event, but in summary:

  • Highlights of the week, performance by Oliver Mtukudsi, the Transmission exhibition,
    music conference and Moston Active Drama performance,

  • It was felt that all events were well managed and ran well on the day,

  • Over 600 people were involved in the week,

  • Over 40 artists participated in performances, exhibitions, workshops and conferences,

  • 10 people were employed on the festival team, and there were two festival volunteers.
