High Peak Community Arts Open Day

High Peak Community Arts opens the doors of its Multi-Media Resource Centre to all as part of Community Arts Week, with a special programme of activities in video, computers and photography, using state-of-the-art technology. Come and see some of the work of one of the most forward-thinking arts projects in the country.

Facilities available: photographic darkroom; video editing suite (VHS and digital); music recording and mixing suite; computer suite. Also video, photography, music and other arts resources available for hire off the premises, all at very reasonable rates. Phone to book equipment, or to find out more.

The venue is wheelchair accessible, with an accessible toilet and disabled parking. The resource centre is also open on Thursday 30 September and Thursday 7 October, 12-8pm.

Black Arts Alliance Live Art Workshops

Two men only workshops which through discussion and practice will look at ways of creating images reflecting the tragicomedy of contemporary males. There will be no boundaries.

Open workshop led by Bush Hartshorn, formerly Director of Green Room, now at Northern Dance Agency.

Black Men workshop led by Michael McMillan - Poet, Playwright and Director.

Workshop numbers are limited. Refreshments available. "Everyone needs space so that they can look inwards and focus in order to look forward with clarity."
