Community Dance - what exactly is it?
A presentation and discussion led by three community dance practitioners. Diane Amans, Sue Akroyd and Shirley Lundstram will look at ways in which dance is used in a range of different settings, e.g. health, education, social services, voluntary sector. You will have a chance to view video clips of recent projects and take part in a discussion about what we mean by community dance. Who is involved? How is it different from other dance? How are people trained to be community dance practitioners?
